**Please Note** There is considerable financial investment in this kit. As the borrower you are responsible for any damage to the machine and accessories caused through misuse or neglect, and for any misplaced items or accessories. Please take care when transporting and handling the machine as it is a sensitive instrument and cuts to very fine tolerances. Cutting accuracy can be disrupted if the machine is mishandled.

Please allow 10 minutes at both pick up and return of this item so our volunteer team can go over the item and the accessories kit with you to ensure all is in order before you leave the library and on your return. Thank you for helping us keep our inventory in top shape for all to enjoy.

Cricut Maker 3 is a smart cutting machines that works with an easy-to-use app or free to download program to help you design, cut, engrave and personalise almost anything — unique apparel, custom cards, balsa wood, stick on vinyl, everyday items, and so much more.

There is so much to tell about these versatile cutting machines and the easiest way is to follow these links and read and watch for yourself. There are also many YouTube videos and bloggers online who have a comprehensive range of tips and tutorials to help you get the most out of your creative activities.

To start you will need to download the free Cricut Design Space program here.

Design Space is where you will create your designs and connect to the Cricut machine. We recommend you do this well ahead of time before you are borrowing the Cricut as whilst it is a straight forward program it does take considerable time at the beginning to find your way around and learn the features and tips you will need to create your projects.

Create your Cricut Access User Account.

You will need to create a Cricut Access user account and at the beginning you can choose to decline the free trial period of the full feature version and simply learn the features of the program. The paid version is not required to operate the Cricut and when you are ready to loan you can sign up to the trial 30 day period to access a wider range of images and features. You can cancel before your trial ends or continue making with premium features for a small monthly fee. Your choice.

Materials and consumables.

There is what appears to be a near endless supply of materials available from local shops or online specifically designed to use with the Cricut Maker 3. This model can use the Smart Materials range which allows you to cut vinyl up to 3.6m in one go. A quick search online will take you down the rabbit hole of possibilities and all materials and consumables are your responsibility. This item is loaned for casual home use only. If you are operating a business and intend to use the Cricut to make commercial quantities of cuts, please invest in your own unit.
